Literary Rap Throw Down.Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep
|
The Literary Rap Throwdown Project was to pair up with another person who like the same book as you. Then one person becomes Positive who takes good points down of the book. The other person will become negative and take bad points down. Once you and your have read the book you and your partner will combine with another group. Then make a music video. A positive from one group will go with the negative of the other group. You will all help work on doing lyrics then once you are done you will record. After recording the rapping then you will record the video. Then all the people in the group will work to edit and make the video great.

Lyrics
Phillip Yo! The name is Philip Kindred Dick! My rhymes are so cold, you're gonna get sick My books ask questions, ones that you’ll keep Like Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? My main mission is science fiction Wrote 40 more novels that’s simple addition A futuristic world after World War T We find Rick Deckard hunting escaped “andys” The main source of this situation Is the deceiving Rosen Association Wilbur Mercer was just a big scandal Rick really wants to find a live mammal Apocalyptic future trying to survive Not human? You still might be alive I Don't need some stupid android test To figure out that my book is the best Reading this book, in knowledge you’ll rise My book teaches students how to empathize. Phillip You have been in the game for 50 years? Only wrote 14 novels that's no career The main question, should our books be taught in school Guess not, Vonnegut was banned unlike this jewel How much is fact? How much is fiction? Quite frankly, your books lack conviction At least all of my stories make some sense They hook the reader and leave them in suspense |
Kurt The people I sympathize for are your readers ‘Bout all of my novels made it to theaters It’s Kurt Vonnegut, the jack of all trades I’ve written non-fiction, novels and plays Author of Cat’s Cradle and Slaughterhouse Five My rhymes will freeze you in your tracks like “Ice-9” My plotlines unique, outcomes are endless Got a bomber, and soldier whose senseless I don’t make my protagonists heroes My roll call goes from 100 to zero I do not promote glorifying gore I give a realistic view of war My books aren't for imbecillis, they make you think While your books do the opposite, brains shrink In World War Two I was trained as a scout You haven't served, you’re a college dropout Yo, I’ve been in the game for 50 years Who wants to read you books? …. There are no volunteers! Kurt Hooked? More like forced, the kids will not be fooled Bring your children's books, you're about to get schooled All of your books, no one even knows They're all dead to the world, “So it goes.” The end of my novels leave you complete Yours cut out before you can say “Poo-Tee-Weet” |
